Late Night Gemboree Schedule (Tentative)
The focus of the Late Night Gemboree is slightly different than many other festivals. At the shows, no artists performing at the main Gem & Jam Festival for the event will be performing a full set at the Late Night Gemboree. The Late Night Gemboree is designed to be a supplemental extra attraction to the Gem & Jam Festival and not in competition. It allows the Gem & Jam Festival to help highlight the international, national, regional, and local talent from the host state of Arizona. So all headliners and sub liners, both live music and EDM artists, are the hottest acts the state has to offer.
International, national and regional acts performing a full set on the main Gem & Jam Show Stage have been asked to guest appear with the talent highlighted at the Late Night Gemboree. So fans will be able to see some of the artists from the Gem & Jam Festival perform again Late Night.
Because of the intimate setting and nature of the Late Night Gemboree, fans will be able to have more intimate interaction with performers then usually possible at other music festivals.
The talent that have been tapped for the Late Night Gemboree (tentatively) include:
Zero Zero – An electro-fuzz band created by singer/keyboardist Nicole Laurenne, guitarist Michael Johnny Walker, and drummer Nick Ramirez. An early demo of the single “Drug” went into regular rotation on Phoenix radio unexpectedly in June 2012 when Laurenne gave the demo to a disc jockey during a live interview. KWSS spun the demo three times in a row, by request. The demo soon began spinning regularly on commercial specialty radio shows out of San Francisco, Boise, Phoenix, and Berlin.
Their self-produced debut album, MAYDAY, was released on October 5, 2012, on limited-edition collector’s flip drives and digital downloads, by Atomic A Go Go Records. Within one month of the band’s first show, Zero Zero shared the stage with Karmin, Magic Wands, A Silent Film, and Roger Clyne, performed headliner slots at music festivals and benefit concerts, was featured in international music blogs, performed live on a tv pilot in Hollywood, and was included in lists of Top 10 Phoenix Albums of 2012 (Phoenix New Times) and Top 20 Songs of 2012 (KWSS – Phoenix). Zero Zero signed with indie label 80/20 Records in January 2013.
Spafford– Spafford is a high energy, four-piece, funky jam rock band from Prescott, Arizona. Spafford’s music is characterized by captivating vocal harmonies, catchy and unique riffs, proficient jam sessions, and solos from each member of the band.
This is a group that is passionately driven to reach people with their music. Spafford’s goal is to reignite an active music scene in Arizona that embraces the seemingly lost art of the jam. The boys love to get people together to dance, enjoy themselves, and feed the fire that is the upcoming Arizona music scene.
Only Warning – Jam band from Phoenix that offers extremely danceable Electronica covers of classic rock pieces mixed in with original tunes.
The Lineage Project – Multi Genre Jam Band that is made of various individual musicians from the Tucson music scene.
After Dark DJ Collective (featuring Seth Myles, Elektra Tek House, Krti Mouserider, Fix, and Resinate) -
FireFly Gatherings (featuring Juanito, Safi’s Lab, and Jahmontee) – Firefly Gatherings is a group of like-minded individuals in Flagstaff, Arizona creating intentional, conscious events in and around Arizona. They understand that a shift in consciousness is necessary, at this time, for all humans to live in harmony with each other, the planet and the cosmos. They enjoy coming together to raise our vibration and we want to share this with you. They create events throughout the year, culminating in our main annual event, Firefly, which is held in the mountains of Flagstaff. They are committed to bringing conscious music, intentional art, heartfelt ceremony, organic food, healing and workshops to our events. They feel that by uniting and celebrating together, we expand our collective tribe and network of consciousness, thereby speeding the paradigm shift that we all feel is imminent.
Warsaw Pact Entertainment (featuring Freight Train, Cam Graham, and Norman Van Ness) – Warsaw Pact Entertainment is an event planning service specializing in electronic music event design and production. Based in Phoenix and founded in 2008, WPE has been successfully creating and producing quality events in the Phoenix metro area as well as statewide.
Sven Glass – An extraordinary glass blowing artist whose journey in glass art started at the Onion Mountain Studio in Grants Pass, Oregon. With a symbiotic creative flow that is exchanged with other glass blowing icons like Eush Glass, his work tends to reflect an individualistic and group perspective of the world that surrounds us, as well as the worlds within us.
Jessica Joy Meyers Contemporary Stained Glass – Jessica Joy Myers has been working with glass since 2001. She was consumed by the medium immediately and found it to be a most expressive art form. The material itself, the glass, adds life to the design by working with light. Her artwork is full of colors and textures. There are many ways to view one panel, depending on the time of day and the angle of the light. As you will see in the gallery, there are several pictures of each piece to display this phenomenom. Jessica uses the traditional medium in a fresh, modern way. In Philadelphia, NY, Tucson, and other cities, there are many store fronts and residences where you will find her stained glass. You may also find Jessica Joy out with a display of her work at an art fair. When not working with the stained glass, she is usually involved with several other creative endeavors. Jessica regularly performs for events, clubs/shows.
