We hope y’all are staying happy and healthy and keeping your spirits high. This years’ Gem & Jam Festival feels like years ago, and we couldn’t be more honored that we got to share this experience with you. While 2020 has been a challenging year, being able to hold our event for our favorite people means the world to us, and was, without a doubt, our all-around best year yet. We pride ourselves on being one of the first festivals of the year and providing a foundation for a potent beginning to a new year for so many people.
At this point, we’d normally be announcing our lineup and starting to feel the waves ripple out with excitement. However, 2020 has proven to be anything but normal, and it doesn’t feel right to be planning a gathering with the state of the world. We’ve seen our music community decimated by the pandemic, as independent venues are closing every week, and people who work in the industry struggling to make ends meet. That being said, we believe in science, and producing a festival that attracts people from all walks of life and from all across the world, would cause an already struggling industry to hurt even more- potentially further delaying events from returning and putting the health and safety of our fans in jeopardy.
The festival & music community is more significant than Gem & Jam, and out of respect, we are choosing to postpone Gem & Jam 2021. We aren’t going anywhere, and will be back in 2022, rested, refreshed, and with even more zest and vigor. In the meantime, we are here for you. Drop us a note, message your festival crew, post your favorite pictures and memories, and tag us. For our part, we are submitting the 2020 Gem & Jam Festival recap video. We hope it makes you feel happy and warm inside, and remind you of that magical feeling you felt when we were all together.
Please take care of yourselves, be respectful of others, wear your masks, wash your hands, and we’ll be sure to drop back in throughout the year to check-in and share updates from our team with you.
We love you with all our hearts, and remember these words from The Grateful Dead: “Without love in the dream, it’ll never come true.”
