CAMPING FAQ

The Car Camping pass includes a carload of people to camp in their car. Everyone must be present and inside the vehicle upon arrival.

Walk-in camping is free and will be a short walk to the campsite from the parking lot. Every vehicle will be charged a $20 entry fee for the weekend. Tip: Bring a wagon or bags with wheels to transport your gear to and from the campsite.

Are camping stoves allowed?

Propane only.

How much space per each camping area?

Walk-In 10×15, Car Camping 10×30, RV 10×40.

Is there re-entry for cars?

No.

When can people start setting up camp?

General Camping – Friday, January 31st @ 9am

Are there bathrooms on site?

Yes.

Are power hookups provided?

No.

Are outside food and beverages allowed in the campsite?

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS, ONLY ON THE CAMPGROUNDS. 

Are there showers on the festival ground?

Yes.

Is there free water on site?

Yes.

Can we have amplified sound at our campsite?

No.

I’m flying into Tucson and don’t want to travel with my camping gear. Is there an option to purchase a pre set camping bundle?

Yes! Pre-Prepped Camping Bundles will include camping essentials for (2) people, designed for your comfort and convenience. This will allow you to travel light, and have the freedom to choose your own camping spot. If you choose to, you are able to take your camping items home following the festival. Any leftover camping items will be donated to local charities.

Camping Bundles Include:

  • 1x Tent For Two
  • 1x Lantern
  • 2x Flashlights
  • 2x Pillows
  • 2x Sleeping Bags
  • 1x Queen Size Air Mattresses (Inflating of Air Mattresses will be available at the camping check-in, with staff to assist with inflating, and transporting to your campsite)

RV FAQ

RV passes are available for purchase, with 2 different levels of power hookups, 30v and 50v. Each RV pass includes water, sewer, and power hookups, and the RV camp space per RV is around 10’×40′.

How much space per each camping area?

RV 10’×40′.

Are hookups provided for RV’s?

Yes, power, water, and waste hookups are included in the purchase.

Can we have amplified sound at our campsite?

No.

BOX OFFICE

What are the box office hours?

Thu:

  • 4:00pm – 12am
  • Camp gates open for Early Entry pass holders (Camping and RV zone only, Early Entry is a separate pass required per person)

Fri:

  • 8:30 Parking lot opens
  • 9:00 a.m.-11pm box office hours
  • 11:00 a.m. – 11pm Festival Gates open

Sat:

  • 10:00 am Parking lot opens
  • 11:00 -11pm Box office and Festival Gates open

Sun:

  • 10:00 am Parking lot opens
  • 11:00 -11pm Box office and Festival Gates open

What do I need for entry?

You will need to have a wristband for entry.

TICKETING

Will there be day passes available?

Yes, single day tickets will be available while supplies last.

PARKING/TRAVEL

Where do we park?

Parking will be available around the venue area.

Does parking cost money?

Yes. $20 per vehicle.

Will there be taxis / Uber / Lyft available?

Yes. We’re teaming up with Yellow Cab to provide rides to/from the Tucson Gem Show. Look for the Yellow Cab stand directly outside the festival front gate, find their booth near the entrance of the festival for more info, and make sure to download the app.

Will there be a shuttle service?

Yes. We will have shuttles running on the hour to select locations within the city limits of Tucson.

  • Shuttle Hours
    • Friday: 12pm – 1am
    • Saturday: 10am – 1am
    • Sunday: 10am – 1am
  • Shuttle cost is $7.00 per person (CASH ONLY).
  • Shuttle staging area is directly outside the Gem & Jam Festival – Main Entrance, across from the Gem & Jam Festival Box Office.
  • Shuttles will provide roundtrip rides to/from the Pueblo Gem Show at Riverpark Inn, 350 South Freeway Rd. Tucson, AZ.
  • Yellow Cab AZ Flat Rate to/from Riverpark Inn: $25.00 (NO stops NO detours; CASH or CC).

Where can I stay in Tucson?

Is there camping?

Yes, we ARE offering camping on site.

VENUE

Are kids allowed?

Kids are allowed. Kids under 15 must be accompanied by an adult, and kids 6 years old or under do not need a ticket.

Will there be an ATM on site?

Yes.

Will there be water available?

Yes, we will have free water available on site.

Will there be food available?

Yes, we will have several different options that include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free.

Will there be WiFi?

No.

Will pets be allowed?

No.

Will I be able to spin fire?

No.

Are there ins and outs?

Yes, but your vehicle will not be able to leave from the campsite if you are car camping unless it is in the parking lot.

EARLY ENTRY

  • Early Entry is to the campsites ONLY. The festival grounds will not open and music will not start until Friday.
  • Food vendors will not be open on Thursday either. So if you do choose to arrive early, please bring your own provisions.
  • Early Entry will be available from 4pm – 9pm on Thursday, January 30th. The festival gates open at 9am on Friday, January 30th, and music starts shortly thereafter.
  • Festival Passes are NOT included.
  • Early Entry Passes must be purchased per person and are available here.

The following behaviors will result in removal from the event and the Pima County Fairgrounds:

  • Acts or threats of violence
  • Drunken or disorderly conduct
  • Destruction of property
  • Possession and/or use of illegal drugs
  • Underage drinking
  • Bootleg Merchandising
